Beltane, also known as May Day, is an ancient pagan festival co-opted by modern cultures and religions that celebrates the halfway point between the spring equinox and the summer solstice. Beltane although celebrated in various ways is considered a time of abundance and freedom where fires are lit, dance ensues and humanity celebrates the upcoming times.
